Optimization of Welding Parameters in MAG Lap Welding of DD13 Sheet Metal with Taguchi Method and FEM Analysis

In this study, DD13 sheet materials used in automobile swing manufacturing were welded with GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) welding method different parameters such as method, amperage, and speed. The optimized value of the parameters, which will give lowest hardness weld seam hardness, was calculated by Taguchi method. addition, heat input values that are thought to affect change calculated, results interpret optimization values. After experimental studies, compared actual results, verification test performed. As a result process, estimated 172.98 HV0.1 MAG performed at 420 min/mm speed, 290 A, 33.6 V parameters. validation found be consistent 173.4 HV0.1. Based on these values, finite element analysis (FEM) Simufact Welding 8.0 software. investigation, macrostructure, thermal changes, amount distortion examined. obtained agreement experiments.
